Nothing brightens a space more than a gorgeous array of flowers. If you’re feeling like you lost out on a season of having a lovely garden of blooming flowers, don’t fret, sweet one! You can plant some flowers now that will bring joy this autumn.
June is a perfect time to plant these flowers:
- Black-Eyed Susan
Whether you’ve got a few acres or a few window sills in which to plant, take a chance with some of these flowers and more. It is easier to work with native plants (plants native to your region or area), so check with your local nursery (or Google) to investigate which of these particular flowers might be better for your garden and give you greater success. If this is your first time planting, know that you may or may not see some flowers this fall! That’s okay! Gardening is one of those things, like baking, where you’re not always sure what you’re gonna get.
To get the best results, you’ll want to work with some quality seeds. Get some at your local garden center or home improvement shop (you may even get lucky with discounted seeds!). Treat your soil with some good nutrients to help your garden grow. A compost could work wonders, as will making sure your soil isn’t too dry.
One more thing, if you think you’re merely getting the benefit of some pretty flowers after all your hard work, think again! It is said that gardeners live a longer life. Say what?! Tell me more, right? Gardeners typically get more Vitamin D due to being out the sun; they are literally grounded by touching the soil and reducing all the extra positive energy charge from everyday electrical sources like WI-FI; and gardeners tend to have less stress because guess what? Gardening is relaxing.
