And, before we ever meet in person, you’ll connect during a Pre-Retreat Zoom Call, where you’ll meet your fellow attendees and get comfortable. By the time you arrive, it’ll feel more like a reunion than a room full of strangers.

While this is your personal retreat experience, some activities—like the tablescaping sessions and competition—are required, as they often involve working in teams of two and rely on full participation to bring the designs to life. These sessions are the heart of the retreat and are essential to both your creative growth and the overall flow of the weekend.

Other activities, such as yoga or the mixology session, are encouraged but optional. No monetary credits are offered for skipped activities. Built-in time for rest and reflection is included throughout the weekend, so whether you're enjoying quiet time on the patio or joining a group session, you’ll have space to recharge in a way that honors your needs

Absolutely. This retreat was intentionally designed for an intimate group of just six women—so whether you come solo or with a friend, you’ll be stepping into a warm, welcoming space. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand to feel connected. Our pre-retreat call helps break the ice, and by the end of the weekend, you may just leave with a few new soul connections.

The retreat takes place at your hostess Cheryl Grace’s private lake cottage in South Haven, Michigan—a serene, intimate setting curated for beauty, peace, and restoration. Once your application is accepted, and you've paid in full, you’ll receive the exact address along with detailed directions and arrival information.

South Haven is located in Southwest Michigan, approximately 120 miles from Chicago, IL—about a two-hour drive, depending on traffic. Train service runs on an abbreviated schedule to nearby Bangor, Michigan, which is about 15 minutes from South Haven. However, because of the limited train times, taking the train may not allow you to participate in all three required retreat days, so driving or carpooling is strongly encouraged. Directions and exact arrival details will be shared after your application is accepted.

Carpooling may be an option, but it’s entirely up to you to coordinate. We respect everyone’s privacy, so we can only share contact details with another guest after all registrations are paid in full and with their permission.

Please note: We are not responsible for arranging any aspect of carpooling, and no refunds will be issued due to transportation challenges. If you don’t drive, we strongly encourage you to sort out your travel plans well in advance to ensure you can fully participate in this one-of-a-kind experience.

The retreat takes place in the private home of your hostess, Cheryl Grace. We want to ensure a safe, welcoming, and aligned experience for everyone attending. The application process allows us to thoughtfully vet each guest and ensure that everyone shares a desire to nurture their creative side, so there’s a natural sense of connection and common ground. We aren't looking for guests, just interested in getting away for a long weekend! But those who value hosting and being creative.
